Get Involved
The first step in getting involved is to gather people who are aware of the problems with the Constitutionality of the current Corporation Government and hold a meeting. This gathering is called an assembly. Once you are all at the table, it is important to develop a social compact.
What is a social compact?
A social compact in a constitutional republic is a voluntary agreement among free and equal people to establish a civil government for their mutual benefit, protection, and orderly self-government, while recognizing that governmental authority is derived from the consent of the governed and limited by agreed-upon principles.
The idea comes from the broader concept of the social contract, but in early American history, a compact was a practical written agreement among a community rather than a philosophical theory.

Tennessee's history is an important piece of the education on how to create a successful social compact.
The Watauga Association
The Watauga Association, formed by settlers beyond the recognized colonial boundary in present-day Tennessee, created one of the earliest constitutional governments west of the Appalachian Mountains.
Its compact emphasized:
-
voluntary cooperation,
-
elected representatives,
-
local courts,
-
protection of property,
-
maintenance of order,
-
government by consent.
Many historians regard it as an important precursor to later American constitutional government.
